If pregnancy and a c-section wasn’t hard enough, let’s throw in breastfeeding! Or I should say pumping in my case. Since my precious little angel was rushed to the NICU right after birth, I had to get on a pumping schedule ASAP in order to get all of the beneficial nutrients of my liquid gold into my baby’s growing little body. After working with a lactation specialist at West Hills Hospital, I began pumping for 20 minutes every two to three hours. It wasn’t easy, but within the first 4 days my milk came in and I was able to provide breastmilk to my baby girl! All of that effort was finally starting to pay off!
